I was thinking the other day of all the experiences that I went through that I made exponentially more difficult because the way in which I interacted with the event actually held me back. ⁣
We've all been there. Those moments when our core is rocked and we feel the ground fall out from beneath us. And we instantly move into fear and anxiety and "survival mode". ⁣
And yet, as I've gotten older i've noticed I worry a great deal less. I worry about the big things. Our fucked up government and the minacial tyrant "running it", my kids getting sick etc. etc. ⁣
But in the end when I come into any situation where i feel triggered I pause and as myself how can I lean into this gracefully? How can I still support what I want as I move through this shit? Because one way or another we have to move through it, right? And while we cannot always choose what happens to us we can create the opportunity for choosing how we interact with it. ⁣
