I came across this quote awhile ago and sat with it for a moment, unsure what I thought of it. ⁣
On the surface it just seems like some sort of spiritually bypassing mumbo jumbo that posits if you are not successful then you haven't chosen to be. ⁣
And at first this didnt really sit right with me. ⁣
But I started thinking back to the most and least successful times in my life. And behind each was a decision. A decision to act in a way which promoted my success or which promoted my failure. And you know, I learned just as much from my failures (if not more) as I have from my successes. Which makes me believe that not only is our success a decision but so is our lack of it. And one is not inherently better than the other. Both are essential to the journey. Both have something to share with us. Both teach us a great deal about who we are and why we do what we do. And both deserve our gratitude for the shifts and breakthroughs (and breakdowns) they've assisted with creating in our lives. ⁣

Daily Medicine | There are things about ourselves we are unaware of. Those that we even intentionally hide from. ⁣
And there are pockets of friction that arise when we feel them rising to the surface. But the more that we push through the resistance and shine a little light (awareness) on these facets of ourselves the more that we reduce their hold. ⁣
